E911 compliance — engineered, not bolted on.

Kari's Law and Section 506 of RAY BAUM's Act are federal requirements for any multi-line telephone system. If your enterprise operates MLTS — and if you're running Teams Phone, you are — you must comply.

We don't treat compliance as a checkbox. We engineer it into your Direct Routing architecture: direct 911 dialing without prefixes, on-site notification when 911 is called, and dispatchable location routing using PIDF-LO XML blocks for dynamic E911.

Kari's Law

  • Direct 911 dialing — no prefix ("9-911" is non-compliant; "911" is required)
  • On-site notification — a designated location (security desk, front desk) must be notified when a 911 call is placed

RAY BAUM's Act Section 506

  • Dispatchable location — 911 calls must transmit a dispatchable location (building, floor, room) to the PSAP, not just a civic address
  • Dynamic location — for mobile/remote users, location must update in real time
